Implementing the above direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has just issued Notice No. 1570/TB-BLDTBXH dated April 12, 2024 announcing the implementation of the schedule of swapping working days on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1, 2024 holiday for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies, public service units and enterprises. Specifically, cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies and public service units (hereinafter referred to as civil servants and public employees) will swap working days from Monday (April 29, 2024) to Saturday (May 4, 2024). Accordingly, on the occasion of the Victory Day holiday of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1, 2024, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27, 2024 to Wednesday, May 1, 2024 (working as a compensatory day on Saturday, May 4, 2024). Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule must arrange their departments to work reasonably to handle continuous work, ensuring good service to the organization and the people, in which it is important to assign officers and civil servants to be on duty to handle sudden and unexpected work that may occur. Agencies and units that do not implement a fixed holiday schedule on Saturday and Sunday every week must base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule, in accordance with the provisions of law. Encourage employers at enterprises to apply the holiday time for Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, 2024 for employees as prescribed for civil servants and public employees, but ensure full implementation of the regimes for employees according to the provisions of law, and encourage more favorable agreements for employees.
